Lead Solutions Engineer – METAP

About the role

The Solutions Engineering team at TikTok partners with advertising clients to translate business challenges into technical solutions. As a Lead Solutions Engineer for the METAP product line, you will work across R&D, Customer Success, and Product Management to deliver scalable, maintainable features that enable advertisers to achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance end‑to‑end systems in collaboration with TikTok product engineering teams.
• Identify and develop new commercial opportunities by applying TikTok’s advertising technologies.
• Partner with Customer Success to uncover client needs and support business growth.
• Launch production‑level code with comprehensive documentation, testing, and scalability considerations.
• Align cross‑functional stakeholders and drive projects to completion.
• Use data‑driven insights to influence decision‑making and demonstrate business impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, backend design, and delivering technical solutions to clients.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with advertising clients and internal partners.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and entrepreneurial attitude.
