Legal Compliance Manager

About the role

Huawei is seeking a Legal Compliance Manager to strengthen its legal and regulatory compliance framework across its UAE operations. The role involves monitoring legal developments, advising internal stakeholders, and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on business operations.
• Identify compliance obligations and support business units in assessing and mitigating legal and compliance risks.
• Conduct compliance reviews of contracts, commercial agreements, policies, and business activities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities, external legal counsel, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
• Lead investigations and resolution of compliance‑related matters while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to corporate governance standards.
• Develop and deliver compliance awareness programs and training initiatives across the organization.
• Provide practical legal guidance to support business decision‑making while balancing commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to continuously improve compliance processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law with a valid legal practicing qualification or Bar admission.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal compliance, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, or legal advisory.
• Excellent knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance principles.
• Strong legal research, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Chinese and/or Arabic language skills are highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational and cross‑functional environment.
