Legal Counsel – Al Dhafra & Al Yasat

About the role

As a Legal Counsel for Al Dhafra and Al Yasat, you will support the General Counsel in managing legal risk, providing corporate and commercial advice, and ensuring compliance with ADNOC Group policies and UAE law.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts such as EPC agreements, SLAs, technical support and confidentiality agreements.
• Provide legal opinions and risk assessments on corporate transactions, joint ventures and concession agreements.
• Advise business units (Procurement, HR, Projects, HSE, Finance, Business Performance) on legal matters.
• Support litigation and dispute resolution, liaising with external counsel for arbitration and high‑value EPC claims.
• Assist the Board Secretary with meeting preparation, minute taking and governance framework implementation.
• Ensure adherence to ADNOC policies, ethics and compliance programs, and participate in internal audits and risk‑committee reviews.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align legal activities with business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of relevant legal experience.
• Familiarity with UAE commercial law and corporate governance standards.
• Ability to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
