Legal Counsel (MENA Region)

About the role

The Legal Counsel will ensure the company complies with all legal requirements across the MENA region, providing expert advice, managing risks, and safeguarding the organization from legal exposure. This position works closely with management, the board, and external counsel to maintain regulatory integrity and support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to employees, management, and the board on a wide range of issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise on policy adjustments.
• Advise on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, filings, and compliance.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, applying proactive risk‑management strategies.
• Manage and coordinate litigation and dispute‑resolution across the MENA region, including engaging external counsel and overseeing the legal budget.
• Maintain detailed records of all legal cases and keep stakeholders informed of crises.
• Oversee intellectual property registration, product registration in the UAE and other MENA countries, and obtain required business licences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of 5 years of work and litigation experience.
• Licensed lawyer or legal practitioner recognized in a MENA country.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, procedures, and local legal systems in the Middle East.
• Professional ethics, integrity, and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, including legal translation.
• Willingness to travel internationally for business needs.
• Experience managing legal teams and external counsel.
• Available immediately.
