Legal Director – Arabic Speaking

About the role

Core42 is seeking a Legal Director (Arabic Speaking) to lead its legal engagement with Abu Dhabi government entities, regulators and public‑sector partners. Reporting to the Vice President of Legal Affairs, the role requires fluency in Arabic and English and the ability to represent the company at senior government levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal interaction with Abu Dhabi government bodies, acting as Core42’s primary point of contact.
• Advise on public‑sector procurement, tender processes and framework agreements from qualification through award.
• Negotiate and discuss contracts and regulatory matters with government stakeholders in both Arabic and English.
• Monitor UAE legislative and regulatory developments affecting sovereign cloud, data and AI, providing practical guidance.
• Manage licensing, permits and regulatory submissions with relevant UAE authorities.
• Strengthen corporate governance, including entity management, delegations of authority and board documentation.
• Oversee external counsel, dispute resolution and cost control.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, service agreements, supply and purchase agreements, and employment contracts.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as procurement, marketing, facilities and finance to address general legal needs.

Required profile

• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience handling legal matters with government entities and public‑sector customers in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of UAE data sovereignty, data protection and national security regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex regulatory and commercial negotiations.
