Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Full‑time)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join its maintenance team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves performing and certifying maintenance on a diverse fleet, ensuring safety, compliance and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Certify own work and that of others, verifying tasks against approved data and authorization scope.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time, adhering to company procedures.
• Lead and guide Aircraft Technicians, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and ensure equipment readiness.

Required profile

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA, EASA Part‑66 or ICAO convertible).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad type ratings (Airbus A320/A330 NEO/A350/A380, Boeing 777/787).
• High School Leaving Certificate, Diploma or University degree.

Required skills

• Aircraft type rating knowledge for Airbus A320/A330 NEO/A350/A380 and Boeing 777/787.
• Proficiency in maintenance documentation and certification processes.
• Ground Support Equipment inspection and maintenance.
• Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and control.
