Life of Field Engineering Manager

About the role

TechnipFMC is looking for a Life of Field (LOF) Engineering Manager based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to manage the LOF engineering team within ICAD. The role covers drilling and completions (D&C), modification, maintenance and repair (MMR) and iComplete, and involves managing a multi-discipline team supporting offshore operations and base activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the LOF engineering team and adjust staffing levels and skill mix to project and operational needs
• Ensure compliance with TechnipFMC engineering standards, design and manufacturing procedures, quality standards and customer satisfaction
• Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements; may hold budget or revenue responsibility
• Maintain team know-how through selection and training, and ensure technical integrity through liaison with the LOF support centre, engineering centres and alternative service providers
• Create and update discipline reference documentation, share best practices through work groups, and monitor team performance using KPIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred) or tertiary education in an oil and gas discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in surface D&C equipment
• At least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role
• Excellent command of English

Required skills

• Working knowledge of surface wellhead and tree equipment or related subsea equipment, including installation and operation
• Understanding of well architecture, construction and drilling operations, and of design codes such as API, ASME, DNV or NORSOK
• Advanced project management, planning, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate multi-discipline projects and groups
