Lifting Operations Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Lifting Operations Supervisor to lead the implementation and execution of ADNOC’s new lifting standard (HSE ST‑019) within the assigned area. The role ensures safe, compliant and efficient movement of loads across ADNOC Drilling sites.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ADNOC Lifting Standard in the area of authority.
• Prepare, review and approve lifting operation plans for routine and non‑routine lifts.
• Coordinate and control lift execution, selecting appropriate lifting appliances and accessories.
• Ensure lifting equipment is maintained, inspected, certified and suitable for use.
• Verify load integrity, stability and soil conditions before each lift.
• Deploy approved third‑party inspectors and ensure all certificates are valid.
• Monitor compliance with ADNOC Permit to Work (WMS) and job safety analysis.
• Brief all personnel involved, suspend lifts when conditions deviate from the plan, and manage concurrent operations such as helicopter activities.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years hands‑on experience with rig lifting equipment and inspection in the oil & gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role related to lifting operations.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Rig lifting equipment operation, inspection and maintenance.
• Lifting plan development and review.
• Knowledge of ADNOC Lifting Standard ST‑019 and HSE regulations.
• Permit to Work (WMS) and job safety analysis procedures.
• Coordination of third‑party inspections and certification processes.
• Load integrity assessment and soil stability evaluation.
