Locksmith/Structures Technician (90‑day contract)

About the role

This 90‑day contract position on Al Dhafra Air Base supports the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program. The technician will maintain and repair a wide range of structural components, doors, locks, and related systems for pre‑engineered facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair doors, locks, roofing, flooring, foundations, gutters and surface coverings.
• Perform metal and fabric repair, welding (oxy/acetylene cutting), corrosion control, and pavement painting/striping.
• Carry out carpentry, drywall, masonry, tile, concrete form work, and sheet‑metal (ductwork) installations.
• Apply protective coatings, sealants, epoxies, glues, paints and fencing.
• Install and service tension‑fabric systems and various locksmith hardware (mechanical door locks, pad locks, cypher locks).

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years construction experience and 2 years locksmithing experience.
• Professional locksmith certification and registration.
• Valid driver’s license, passport and ability to obtain US citizenship‑required facility credentials.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and work on an overseas government contract.
