Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring shipments are tracked, documentation is accurate, and payments are processed on time. This role supports smooth import and export activities by liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and update shipment status with carriers.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders to manage movement and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and process forwarder invoices for approval and payment.
• Create purchase orders for local freight forwarders.
• Handle foreign supplier payments in partnership with the finance department.
• Follow up with suppliers for shipping documents and dispatch schedules.
• Arrange courier shipments as needed.
• Maintain records and raise tickets for all import shipments.
• Prepare and manage Letter of Credit (LC) documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
• Strong communication and follow‑up abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using ERP systems.
