Logistics & Customs Clearance Specialist – Import/Export

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics & Customs Clearance Specialist to manage end‑to‑end import and export operations across the UAE. The role ensures shipments are documented correctly, cleared through customs on time, and delivered cost‑effectively while maintaining compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs brokers to prepare import shipments and track them to the UAE port or final destination.
• Manage export orders, prepare export documentation, arrange bookings and ensure compliance with destination‑country requirements.
• Prepare, verify and maintain all required import/export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/air waybills, certificates of origin, HS codes, MSDS, COO, SASO and MOFA.
• Request freight quotations, negotiate shipping and clearance charges, review freight and customs invoices, and monitor additional costs like demurrage, detention and storage.
• Liaise with warehouse, finance and sales teams to update GRNs, track deliveries, and close shipments with proof of delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in UAE import/export procedures and customs clearance.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes and relevant certification requirements (MSDS, SASO, MOFA, etc.).
