Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead freight negotiations, container placement, and cargo tracking to ensure efficient shipping operations across multiple regions. This role coordinates vessel bookings and maintains compliance with shipping regulations while minimizing costs and delays.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and secure competitive freight rates with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
• Coordinate and arrange container placement for cargo loading.
• Monitor and track cargo movements to ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee shipping operations and ensure smooth execution of cargo shipments.
• Plan and schedule vessel bookings in line with shipment requirements.
• Liaise with shipping lines, transporters, and customers to ensure efficient logistics operations.
• Resolve shipping and logistics issues promptly to minimize delays and additional costs.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in freight rate negotiation and container logistics.
• Strong ability to monitor cargo movements and manage vessel bookings.
• Excellent coordination skills with shipping lines, transporters, and customers.
• Capability to handle large volumes (200,000‑300,000 tons of paper per annum) across Far East, Indian, Middle East, African, European and U.S. ports.
• Attention to detail in maintaining shipping records and regulatory compliance.
