Logistics Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Manager to lead the planning, coordination and execution of all logistical activities on a construction site. The role ensures that materials, equipment and personnel move safely and efficiently, supporting the project’s schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Procure and manage a site‑wide logistics contractor, setting measurable goals and monitoring performance.
• Oversee safe and orderly movement of labour, plant and materials across the site.
• Maintain a secure site environment, conduct regular logistics meetings and manage worker accommodation.
• Develop and implement logistics processes, procedures, induction programmes and site‑specific safety manuals.
• Create and update supply‑chain plans, movement forecasts and monthly graphical time‑slices.
• Ensure all required permits are obtained and that logistics activities do not constrain the construction programme.
• Review budgets, cost plans and change orders, and sign off work in line with contract terms.
• Coordinate risk registers, mitigation plans and communication with all project stakeholders.
• Manage special public access routes, signage, security systems and emergency response plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing logistics on construction or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to site logistics.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams, negotiate with suppliers and contractors, and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with a focus on risk and cost control.
