Logistics Officer I – Project Cargo & Transportation

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Logistics Officer I to support the planning, execution and commercial management of material movements for its energy projects. The role involves coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships and ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate material movements in line with national and international regulations.
• Support carrier selection and manage relationships with carrier services.
• Prepare and ensure completion of shipping documentation, and oversee transportation, inspection, tracking and distribution of materials.
• Provide commercial support for project cargo, heavy‑lift, oversized, air, sea and road transportation activities.
• Assist in preparing logistics cost estimates for tenders, bids and project execution.
• Prepare RFQs and liaise with logistics service providers for freight forwarding, warehousing, customs clearance and related services.
• Review logistics quotations, commercial proposals and cost estimates against project and operational requirements.
• Analyse freight and logistics costs to identify savings and support negotiations with service providers.
• Support commercial negotiations with logistics service providers to secure competitive rates and favourable terms.
• Ensure logistics costs align with approved budgets, contracts and project requirements.
• Maintain databases of freight rates, logistics costs and supplier commercial information.
• Support the preparation and processing of service orders and logistics contracts.
• Monitor supplier compliance with agreed commercial terms, rates and service conditions.
