Logistics Officer - Import/Export & Customs

About the role

EDGE Technologies is hiring a Logistics Officer for its EO MRO business in Abu Dhabi. The role manages import/export operations, customs clearance, permits and shipment coordination, ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth logistics support for EO MRO operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle import and export of EO systems, spare parts, tools and test equipment, including temporary imports, repair-and-return shipments and re-exports
• Prepare, review and process import/export permits, customs declarations and clearance documents (mainly in Arabic)
• Ensure shipments comply with UAE customs regulations, export controls and OEM and company policies
• Coordinate with customs authorities, free zones, ports, airports, OEMs, freight forwarders, clearing agents and government bodies
• Liaise with internal technical and management teams and track shipment status to ensure timely delivery to and from EO MRO facilities
• Maintain accurate records of permits, customs documents, shipment files and approvals, ready for audits

Required profile

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, customs clearance or import/export operations
• UAE logistics and customs experience preferred
• Fluent Arabic speaking, reading and writing is mandatory
• English is required for all roles

• Good computer skills for documentation, tracking and reporting
• Excellent coordination, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
