About the role
The Logistics Officer will support the Supply Chain Manager by overseeing daily logistics operations and ensuring smooth import/export flows across the Middle East and Asia‑Pacific regions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage carrier selection, shipment tracking, and compliance with international regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Select carriers, negotiate contracts and rates, and secure multiple quotes for cost avoidance.
- Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring on‑time performance.
- Research optimal shipping techniques, routing, and carrier options.
- Collaborate with internal departments to integrate logistics with overall company procedures.
- Evaluate budgets, expenditures, and performance metrics, implementing enhancements where needed.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with laws, ISO standards, and company guidelines.
- Prepare and manage documentation such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and manifests.
- Report shipment status and resolve any logistics‑related issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in import/export logistics using land, sea, and air freight in the Middle East and Asia‑Pacific.
- Strong knowledge of regional import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
