Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will support the Supply Chain Manager in overseeing end‑to‑end logistics operations for ADEAREST in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures smooth inbound and outbound movements, compliance with regional import/export regulations, and cost‑effective transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Select carriers, negotiate contracts and rates, and secure multiple quotes for cost avoidance.
• Plan, monitor and coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries across land, sea and air modes.
• Research optimal shipping routes, techniques and carriers to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align logistics processes with overall company procedures.
• Evaluate budgets, track expenditures and update performance metrics.
• Ensure all activities comply with local laws, guidelines and ISO standards.
• Maintain documentation such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and manifestos.
• Report shipment status and resolve any logistics issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum two years of import/export experience handling land, sea and air freight in the Middle East and Asia‑Pacific region.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
