Logistics Officer

About the role

Air Q Limited is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Officer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role coordinates and manages daily logistics operations, working with internal departments such as Procurement, Warehouse, Production and R&D. It covers inbound and outbound shipments, transportation, import/export documentation, customs clearance and material movements, supporting uninterrupted production and supply chain efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Production and R&D on material requirements, shipment priorities and delivery schedules, and escalate logistics issues affecting production or project timelines.
• Manage domestic and international shipments by air, sea and road, track them from dispatch to delivery, and follow up on cargo readiness and booking confirmations.
• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, airway bills and bills of lading, and coordinate UAE customs clearance with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Compare freight quotations, monitor freight and customs costs, and verify freight invoices against approved quotations.
• Coordinate material movements between warehouses and production facilities, and collect and deliver urgent materials, samples and spare parts.
• Maintain shipment tracking sheets, regular logistics reports and records of shipping documents, customs declarations and proof of delivery, with accurate data entry in the ERP system (e.g., Odoo or SAP).
• Follow up with suppliers and logistics partners, resolve shipment discrepancies and delays, and recommend improvements.

• Ability to prioritize urgent shipments and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Attention to detail in shipping documentation and shipment tracking.
• Cost-conscious approach to freight and logistics costs.
