Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will manage and execute time‑critical (express) logistics operations across the MEA region. The role ensures uninterrupted business continuity, optimised shipping solutions and strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Handle urgent air and express courier shipments, selecting the fastest and most cost‑effective routing.
• Coordinate with global suppliers, mother plants and freight forwarders to dispatch priority shipments.
• Provide round‑the‑clock support, act as escalation point and resolve shipment disruptions promptly.
• Manage end‑to‑end shipment processes including booking, documentation, customs clearance and on‑time delivery (OTIF).
• Navigate MEA customs regulations, ensure import/export compliance and manage cross‑border shipments.
• Align logistics priorities with manufacturing and supply chain needs, especially for critical spare parts.
• Utilise ERP and logistics tracking tools to maintain real‑time shipment data and drive digital visibility.
• Negotiate freight rates, monitor emergency shipment costs and optimise express freight spend.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales and Supply Chain teams to provide real‑time updates and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Identify potential delays, develop contingency plans and manage disruptions such as flight delays or customs holds.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of logistics experience with a strong focus on express/air freight operations.
• Proven experience working in the MEA logistics environment.
• Solid understanding of shipping documentation, customs procedures and import/export regulations.
• Experience in manufacturing or supply‑chain contexts, especially handling critical spare parts.
• Commercial acumen in freight cost management and vendor negotiations.
• Ability to work under pressure, make decisions quickly and take ownership of outcomes.
