Logistics Specialist – Service Parts & Tools

About the role
The Logistics Specialist owns the end‑to‑end physical flow of service parts and tools for a multi‑country Middle East & Africa operation in the medical‑device sector. You will manage shipping, freight, 3PL warehouse operations, customs compliance and inventory control while supporting order management, procurement and invoicing during peak periods.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute inbound and outbound shipments (air, sea, road) and select carriers for cost and speed.
- Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists and other shipping documentation.
- Fast‑track warranty and contract orders, manage last‑minute changes and keep ETD/ETA updated in ERP.
- Track shipments end‑to‑end, issue ASN and monitor freight spend for optimization.
- Serve as daily interface with the 3PL provider: bookings, warehouse instructions, discrepancy resolution and performance monitoring.
- Manage customs clearance across Middle East & Africa, ensuring compliance with import permits, LC/forex controls and conformity assessments.
- Reconcile inventory between ERP and warehouse, reduce back‑orders and oversee scrap/destruction with full documentation.
- Support the order management desk throughout the order cycle and cover peaks, leaves and absences.
- Contribute to dashboards, performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of logistics or supply‑chain experience, preferably in medical devices, healthcare or another regulated industry.
- Hands‑on experience with freight forwarding, Incoterms, letters of credit and customs clearance in Middle East and/or Africa markets.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (order‑to‑cash and inventory modules) and strong Excel skills; CRM exposure is a plus.
- Experience managing or collaborating with a 3PL provider is a strong advantage.
- Ownership mindset, detail‑driven, able to run shipments end‑to‑end without supervision.
- Clear communicator in English; Arabic is an advantage.
