Logistics Supervisor

About the role

The Logistics Supervisor supports daily operational management at a delivery station, deputising for the Operations Manager when required. The role focuses on safety, performance, and continuous improvement of logistics processes.

Key responsibilities

• Step in for the Operations Manager as needed, ensuring seamless operations.
• Prioritise and enhance safety standards at the delivery station.
• Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to meet and exceed operational KPIs.
• Monitor and coach coordinator and associate performance, partnering with support departments to optimise processes.
• Communicate expectations to delivery service providers and raise quality standards.
• Interview candidates for associate roles and manage driver/associate workload briefing.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and track daily metrics.
• Assist the Operations Manager with performance reporting, trend analysis, and site performance tracking.
• Train and mentor new associates, resolving process‑related issues promptly.
• Provide flexible shift coverage and overtime as required.
• Support resourcing decisions, including training needs, absence management, and productivity monitoring.

Required profile

• Experience managing teams.
• Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
• Preferred experience in logistics and data analysis.
