Maintenance Engineer (UAE National) – Manufacturing

About the role

Reliance Human Resources Consultancy is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing company in Dubai, open to UAE nationals. The role covers preventive, condition-based and corrective maintenance, asset management and continuous improvement, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing asset life.

Key responsibilities

• Organize timely preventive, condition-based and corrective maintenance to ensure optimum production, minimum downtime and maximum asset life.
• Identify engineering problems, analyse them and propose solutions to improve plant and equipment efficiency.
• Plan and supervise all activities in the assigned area to meet performance objectives, and participate in innovation and continuous improvement programmes.
• Train, motivate and build a successful maintenance team.
• Promote and follow HSE policies, procedures and guidelines, and use safe work methods with proper equipment, tools and protective clothing.
• Initiate and implement Total Productive Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts.
• Support development work such as process improvement and machine upgrades, and conduct studies to improve equipment efficiency.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance and condition-based maintenance schedules, integrating them with the production plan.
• Implement condition monitoring programmes to predict potential failures.
• Liaise with stores for spare parts and with contractors for outsourced maintenance, selecting the best quality at the best cost.
• Maintain maintenance records in Asset Management software in line with internal, ISO and BASEC standards, and organise the maintenance database on the ERP.
• Raise purchase requests through the ERP system and guide troubleshooting and root cause analysis to avoid recurring failures.

Required profile

• UAE nationality; full-time position.
• 4 years of relevant professional experience in maintenance engineering operations in the manufacturing industry, preferably in an ERP environment such as SAP.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

Required skills

• Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and RCM engineering.
• Statistical analysis of maintenance data, root cause analysis and Asset Management software.
