Maintenance Lead – Production & Packaging (Semi‑Solids)

About the role

The Maintenance Lead will head the maintenance function for production and packaging equipment in Julphar’s semi‑solids pharmaceutical facility. You will ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support GMP‑compliant operations while leading a team of technicians and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors on daily tasks.
• Plan, schedule and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes for production and packaging lines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, instrumentation and automation failures.
• Support equipment qualification, validation, commissioning and change‑control activities in line with GMP requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance, drive continuous‑improvement projects and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, QA and Validation to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
• Review and approve work orders, maintenance records and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in pharmaceutical production and packaging environments.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, pharmaceutical processes and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proven leadership, problem‑solving and communication skills in a cross‑functional, regulated setting.
