Maintenance Technician

About the role

Curium, a global nuclear medicine company developing, manufacturing and distributing radiopharmaceutical products, is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to keep its facility infrastructure reliable, safe and efficient. This is a permanent position based in the Sharjah area.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a reliable energy supply to the facility and production areas, and that all infrastructure systems meet quality requirements and standards.
• Perform or coordinate preventive maintenance and make sure all activities are documented.
• Plan, perform and report validations and calibrations of HVAC, gas and automation systems.
• Complete work orders to the required quality standard and close them on time.
• Plan and implement improvement projects for infrastructure systems.
• Maintain physical security systems and carry out or coordinate their periodic maintenance.
• Monitor building and architectural infrastructure and carry out or coordinate maintenance and renovation works.
• Maintain and repair furniture and equipment used in production areas and common facilities.
• Carry out or coordinate inspections required by legislation and report results to authorities when requested.
• Provide technical support on radiation protection and occupational safety, and dispose of waste in line with the Environmental Management System.
• Manage and maintain spare parts and consumables inventory, and coordinate regular pest control.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience maintaining facility infrastructure systems.
• Driving licence and ability to drive actively; knowledge of English; valid work and residence permits for the UAE.
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to alternate working hours.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HVAC, purified water systems, building automation, compressed air, plumbing, steel structures, medical gas lines and electrical systems is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
