Senior Manufacturing Engineer - HVAC

About the role

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for implementing the HVAC manufacturing process and supporting the design and/or testing of tooling equipment and/or planning the manufacturing process in a designated area of the plant. The work is technical, with decisions made within general practice and procedure, and supervision is available for unusual situations.

Key responsibilities

• Study and improve the manufacturing routing time of HVAC product models so they run at optimum process time.
• Analyse HVAC product designs to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Implement cross-functional team tasks to reduce scrap and improve productivity and quality.
• Develop and apply Lean practices such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban and value-stream mapping.
• Support the purchase, installation and commissioning of new equipment for the assigned area.
• Investigate product failures (internal and external customers) and carry out root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Direct the design, development and improvement of manufacturing equipment and provide technical support for plant operations.
• Gather customer input, train staff and ensure accurate specification data for parts.
• Carry out special projects requested by the Manufacturing Manager and other tasks assigned by the superior.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (Production, Mechanical or Industrial) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC manufacturing or a related industry.
• Good problem-solving skills, ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• CAD/CAM and basic programming for machine operations.
• Microsoft Office and Oracle-based ERP systems.
• Project management software tools and process improvement experience.
