Manager Accounting

About the role

The Manager Accounting will lead the accounting function for large‑scale energy projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and effective support for project teams. This role combines deep technical accounting knowledge with the ability to influence processes and drive improvements across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report monthly/quarterly project gross profit movement, breakeven, loss projects and adjustments at a consolidated level.
• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial forecasts for major projects.
• Perform monthly analysis of project results versus forecasts and consolidate quarterly project schedules.
• Prepare project adjustments such as dilution risk, revenue combining, and loss reserve adjustments.
• Reconcile revenue, backlog and public gross profit on a monthly basis.
• Maintain and consolidate corporate project reports using Hyperion HFM and Planning.
• Lead implementation, enforcement and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely completion of mandatory training for self and team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
• 5‑7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in project‑oriented environments.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition and its impact on project accounting.
• Experience with multiple accounting ERP and consolidation systems.
• Highly analytical with excellent communication skills.
