Manager, Business Tax Services (US Tax Services)

About the role

KPMG US Tax Services (UAE) LLC is looking for an experienced Manager to lead US tax compliance and consulting projects for EMEA‑based asset managers, real estate funds, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds and other investors. The role involves advising on a full spectrum of US corporate tax matters, including planning, research, compliance, provision work and M&A activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage US tax compliance and consulting engagements for a portfolio of corporate, partnership and fund clients.
• Provide advice on inbound US investments, covering permanent establishment, ECI, withholding taxes, FIRPTA, branch profits, earnings stripping and double‑tax treaty applications.
• Review and comment on tax calculation models from a US federal income tax perspective.
• Research, draft and review client tax advice on domestic and international matters, including M&A transactions and income‑tax treaty issues.
• Oversee international aspects of outsourced or co‑sourced compliance engagements for asset managers and funds.
• Maintain client relationships as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Leverage generative AI technologies to enhance decision‑making and review processes.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of hands‑on US tax compliance experience (corporate, partnership, M&A or international) at a public accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation, JD or LLM preferred.
• Professional credential such as CPA, EA, JD/LLM or another KPMG‑approved designation (or obtain within one year of hire).
• Experience with international taxation in the financial services sector is a plus.
