Manager – Market Infrastructure (FSRA Markets)

About the role

The Manager – Market Infrastructure (FSRA Markets) will join the Markets Department of the Financial Services and Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Senior Manager (MI), the role focuses on the authorisation and supervision of market infrastructures, with a strong emphasis on AML‑related oversight for recognised exchanges, clearing houses and custodians, especially in the virtual‑asset space.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day authorisation and supervision of Markets Firms, including recognised investment exchanges, clearing houses, settlement facilities, MTFs and OTFs.
• Lead AML‑related licensing, monitoring and supervisory activities for recognised bodies and custodians.
• Develop and enhance AML processes and practices, particularly for virtual‑asset activities.
• Maintain and build internal FSRA‑AML regulatory relationships and liaise with external market stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Financial & Cyber Crime Prevention Unit (FCCPU) and other FSRA units to mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years of experience in financial services regulation, market infrastructure supervision or related AML functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in UAE federal regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of virtual‑asset ecosystems and related compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to work closely with senior managers, directors and cross‑functional teams.
