Manager - Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

About the role

Royal Khalifa City Hospital Abu Dhabi is recruiting a Manager for its Outpatient Rehabilitation Services. The manager provides direction, instruction and leadership to physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists so that department goals are achieved, and works with the Senior Manager of Rehabilitation Services on appraisals and training.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the therapy team, including recruitment support, supervision, appraisal, career development and competency management
• Deliver evidence-based, specialist Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language services, with a caseload of complex cases as an autonomous practitioner
• Ensure the team keeps client records, service reports and administrative paperwork complete and on time
• Provide training and professional development, and plan CPD programmes for outpatient staff
• Monitor referrals, insurance requests, assessments, interventions, discharges and record keeping, and submit accurate statistics and third-party reports
• Develop Key Performance Indicators, estimate needs for facilities, supplies and equipment, and prepare budget estimates with the Senior Manager and Director of Rehabilitation
• Manage inventory and stock, keep equipment in working order and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed
• Coordinate care with the multi-disciplinary team, contribute to quality improvement and safety activities, and handle adverse incidents and complaints
• Keep staff informed of health and safety legislation, carry out risk assessments and ensure compliance with infection control policies
