Mandarin Speaking Assessment Coordinator – SEN

About the role

The role involves reviewing prospective student applications and supporting documentation to identify SEN-related flags, concerns and potential support requirements. You will work closely with the admissions team to ensure accurate, confidential handling of high‑volume applications.

Key responsibilities

• Screen applications and supporting documentation for SEN‑related flags, concerns and potential support requirements.
• Review and interpret IEPs, assessments, educational psychology reports, school support plans and specialist or medical reports.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies or red flags within submitted documentation.
• Summarise findings clearly for leadership, including recommendations for learning‑support review.
• Maintain accurate records of applications reviewed and communicate status to the admissions team.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience working within an SEN context (classroom, school or educational setting).
• Experience reading and interpreting SEN documentation such as IEPs, assessments and specialist reports.
• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent school‑based experience.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a high volume of applications.

Required skills

• Fluent Mandarin speaking skills (essential and non‑negotiable).
• Strong ability to identify SEN flags and concerns from application documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot gaps and inconsistencies.
• Clear and concise written communication for documenting findings.
