Market Head, Priority Private and International Clients

About the role

Standard Chartered is looking for a Market Head to drive sustainable growth in its Priority Private and International Banking segments. The role leads the International Banking team, covering high net worth and international wealth clients, and partners with teams across the Wealth Hubs in the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and Jersey. It is accountable for revenue growth, client outcomes, portfolio growth and client profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the International Banking team and build a high-performing Relationship Managers and Support team, including performance management, succession planning and coaching.
• Drive cross-border collaboration across the Wealth Hub network and with Group, and champion the bank's wealth proposition with Product, Segment and Risk teams.
• Shape the strategic agenda for International Banking corridors, including Global Indian, and accelerate client acquisition, share of wallet, franchise value and digital presence.
• Deliver a differentiated, scalable client experience and act as the senior escalation point for complex client and operational matters.
• Provide market intelligence on competitors, client preferences and emerging wealth trends.
• Oversee policies, procedures and governance, including Global Process Standards on Customer Data Confidentiality, and drive process optimisation.
• Maintain a strong risk and control environment: AML/KYC, financial crime, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, and regulatory compliance.
• Live by the Group Code of Conduct and escalate conduct and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Ability to lead and develop a team, with a culture of accountability, excellence and continuous improvement.
• Good knowledge of group policies, local regulations and money laundering prevention legislation.
• Must obtain a Security & Commodity Authority (SCA) license and complete the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirement after licensing; this is mandatory.
