Material QAQC Engineer – Marine

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Material QA/QC Engineer for marine and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role leads quality assurance and control activities, ensuring that all materials meet project specifications, standards and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project QA/QC plans, procedures and site quality controls for marine and infrastructure works.
• Review material submittals and approvals, verifying that delivered items comply with approved specifications.
• Coordinate and witness sampling and testing (field and laboratory) and confirm results meet acceptance criteria.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits, raise non‑conformance reports (NCRs) or observations, and follow up corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and site teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework.
• Maintain complete QA/QC records, inspection logs, test reports and documentation required for project close‑out and handover.
• Promote compliance with HSE requirements while executing QA/QC responsibilities on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC and materials inspection experience in the UAE, preferably on marine and infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, inspection/testing requirements and QA/QC practices.
• Excellent documentation, reporting and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
