Materials Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Materials Engineer to support high‑profile construction projects, ensuring that all material submittals meet project specifications, regulatory requirements and are delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Review and manage material submittals in line with project specifications and contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, and approved standards.
• Coordinate with consultants and PMC for material approvals and closure of technical comments.
• Maintain and update material submittal logs and tracking systems.
• Liaise with procurement and site teams to guarantee timely delivery and compliance of materials.
• Verify technical data sheets, test reports, certifications, and samples prior to submission.
• Monitor approved materials on site to ensure proper implementation.
• Support resolution of material‑related technical issues and NCRs.
• Ensure compliance with authority requirements such as ADCD and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in construction/material engineering.
• Strong knowledge of material submittals, QA/QC procedures and project specifications.
• Proven experience handling consultant/PMC approvals and coordination.
• Familiarity with authority approval processes (e.g., ADCD, ADM).
• Experience on large‑scale projects and managing multiple material packages (Architectural, Civil, MEP).

Required skills

• Proficiency with material submittal management platforms such as Asite and ACC.
• Expertise in QA/QC procedures for construction materials.
• Ability to navigate authority approval processes and regulatory compliance.
