Maternal and Fetal Medicine Physician

About the role

The Maternal and Fetal Medicine Physician provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for in‑patient and out‑patient populations, delivering both routine and emergency services in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform surgical care in the operating room and outpatient department for gynecologic and obstetric conditions, including emergency and planned procedures.
• Manage delivery room activities: admit patients, review histories, plan care, conduct spontaneous and operative deliveries, and coordinate with midwives.
• Respond promptly to emergency consultations and provide outpatient clinic care as assigned.
• Conduct and interpret ultrasound examinations and fetal heart rate monitoring, taking appropriate clinical actions.

Required profile

• Graduated from an approved medical school with internship.
• Three years residency in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, culminating in a postgraduate master’s degree or equivalent fellowship approved by DOH.
• Minimum five years exclusive obstetrics and gynecology practice since certification.
• Valid DOH license to practice Maternal and Fetal Medicine.
• Excellent written and oral English; basic medical Arabic is desirable.
