Mechanical Designer

About the role

We are looking for a technically skilled, creative, and detail‑oriented Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of mechanical components, systems, assemblies and equipment. The role involves turning engineering requirements into accurate technical drawings, 3D models and documentation while ensuring functional, manufacturing and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs, prepare detailed 2D drawings and create 3D models, assemblies and layouts.
• Review design requirements, select appropriate materials and components, and perform basic design calculations.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers and contractors to ensure designs are production‑ready.
• Assist with prototype development, design validation, drawing reviews and troubleshooting of design issues.
• Maintain accurate design records, manage technical documentation and support continuous product improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings, tolerances, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or Inventor.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills, with ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
