Mechanical Inspector – Rotating Equipment (Local Operations)

About the role

The Mechanical Inspector – Rotating Equipment will support local operations in Dubai by overseeing the installation and testing of rotating machinery for our clients. The role ensures compliance with international standards and client safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Witness and monitor contractor activities, inspections and tests in line with approved ITPs and quality procedures.
• Verify that contractors use up‑to‑date standards, specifications, procedures and drawings.
• Ensure testing and measuring devices are calibrated according to specifications.
• Participate in receiving inspections and attend site acceptance tests (SAT).
• Review contractor quality records, raise and verify punch items, and issue non‑conformance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience inspecting rotating equipment installation on site.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical engineering.
• Sound knowledge of API RP 686 and related rotating equipment codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and MS Office (Word, Excel).

Required skills

• API RP 686 standard.
• API SIRE (or equivalent) certification.
• Rotating equipment installation and inspection expertise.
• Use of calibrated testing and measuring devices.
