Mechanical Engineer – Field Service (Heavy Equipment)

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Field Service to provide on‑site mechanical, hydraulic and power‑train support for heavy equipment used in construction and related sectors across the UAE. The role combines troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and coordination of spare parts to keep equipment operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and power‑train faults on excavators, loaders, cranes, dozers, forklifts and dumpers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls and emergency breakdown repairs both in workshop and at client sites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals and schematics to guide repairs.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and produce detailed service reports and job cards.
• Supervise field technicians, monitor work quality, productivity and HSE compliance.
• Coordinate spare‑parts planning with stores, procurement and workshop to ensure timely availability.
• Support equipment commissioning, testing and major overhaul activities.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timeframes and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 24 months of experience servicing heavy equipment or similar machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and power‑train systems.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and safe working practices.
