Mechanical Engineer - Project Supervision

About the role

KEO, an AEP/PMCM architectural and project management consultancy, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The engineer provides on-site supervision and technical support for all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and contract specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design and implementation of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulations in the country where the project is located.
• Review and approve mechanical shop drawings and material submittals from contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to approved plans and schedules.
• Inspect and test mechanical installations at various stages of construction.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical issues or defects, coordinating with contractors to rectify them.
• Prepare and maintain records of inspections, tests and non-conformances.
• Ensure the safety of mechanical work on site, including safety protocols, inspections and hazard remediation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team, including resolving design conflicts and interpreting drawings and specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years of work experience.
• Experience on large-scale villa projects in the UAE is sought.
