Mechanical Inspector - Villa Construction Project

About the role

KN International is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector for a villa construction project in Liwa, Western Region, Abu Dhabi. The inspector monitors mechanical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and applicable regulations. Relevant UAE experience in villa or building construction, mechanical installations and site inspection is required.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical installation works in villas and buildings against approved drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Check HVAC systems, ventilation equipment, ductwork, piping and associated mechanical installations
• Check plumbing, drainage, water supply and sanitary installations
• Verify installation of mechanical equipment, fixtures and components for proper workmanship and approved materials
• Review and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) from contractors
• Identify defects and non-conformities, prepare inspection reports and follow up on corrective actions
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and risk assessments
• Monitor mechanical testing and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, authority requirements, project specifications and HSE standards
• Maintain records of site inspections, daily activities, testing results and quality issues
• Coordinate with engineers and contractors and attend progress meetings

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection, including villa/building construction projects in the UAE
• Experience in site inspections, quality control and mechanical testing and commissioning
• Familiarity with UAE mechanical and building regulations, authority requirements and construction standards

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage and water supply systems in residential buildings
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
