Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader provides oversight of mechanical systems and components to ensure plant safety and reliability. This role leads maintenance teams, supports outage and emergency response, and drives continuous improvement across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance work teams, ensuring high‑quality maintenance and safe operations.
• Support outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) activities, including shift and off‑hours work as required.
• Contribute to operational planning by developing procedures, monitoring KPIs, and recommending corrective actions.
• Implement health, safety, security, and business continuity programs in line with corporate policies.
• Manage people performance, set targets, provide feedback, and support Emiratization objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant mechanical engineering or maintenance qualification.
• Proven experience leading mechanical maintenance teams in an industrial or power‑plant environment.
• Strong understanding of outage management, health & safety regulations, and operational KPI tracking.
• Ability to develop procedures, drive continuous improvement, and mentor staff.
