Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

ADNOC Group, the largest oil producer in the ADNOC family, is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Abu Dhabi. The role covers day-to-day rotating and static maintenance, as well as corrective, overhaul and breakdown maintenance, on all mechanical equipment in the assigned field or area.

Key responsibilities

• Receive work orders from the Mechanical Engineer, review equipment maintenance history and arrange consumables, spares and tools.
• Obtain work permits and certificates according to maintenance procedures and HSE regulations.
• Carry out preventive, corrective, breakdown and predictive maintenance safely and efficiently.
• Inspect equipment to determine the extent of repairs needed and prepare inspection, failure and overhaul reports.
• Monitor the condition of rotating equipment visually or with devices and systems.
• Troubleshoot faults and follow fault-finding routines with the Mechanical Engineer and other disciplines.
• Carry out new installations, modifications and testing of mechanical equipment, and take part in major overhauls and shutdowns.
• Update maintenance records in MAXIMO and keep records, files, drawings, manuals and datasheets.
• Comply with policies, HSE procedures and sustainability guidelines, and take part in emergency response.
• Provide field data for progress reports, method statements and near-miss reports, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Train on the job for UAE nationalization competency programmes and keep tools and safety gear in good condition.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5 years of experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Regular contact with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument & Control and Operations teams.
