Media Director – Dubai

About the role

The Media Director will lead the development and execution of data‑driven media strategies for Mindshare’s clients in Dubai and the wider region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape high‑impact campaigns across programmatic, social, search, video and mobile channels, ensuring they meet client objectives and deliver measurable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement overarching media strategies and investment guidelines across all digital channels.
• Analyse market data to determine optimal media mix and set performance targets.
• Lead negotiations with media vendors and manage end‑to‑end campaign performance and profitability.
• Create test‑and‑learn programmes to evaluate new technologies and measure engagement.
• Provide strategic insight on integrating data across social, search and programmatic activities.
• Coordinate communication between WPP Media agencies and broader account teams to share best practices.
• Collaborate with regional teams to deliver best‑in‑class e‑commerce support and training.
• Identify growth opportunities within existing client portfolios and work with senior directors to capture them.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading media strategy and planning for large brands.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable media plans.
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
• Track record of delivering profitable, high‑perform campaigns across multiple digital channels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
