Medical Scribe

About the role

Royal Health Al Salam Specialized Hospital in Abu Dhabi is hiring a full-time Medical Scribe. The scribe documents patient visits and clinical information so that physicians can focus on care.

Key responsibilities

• Document patient history, symptoms, examination findings, diagnoses and treatment plans during visits.
• Enter and update patient information in the EHR system.
• Prepare medical notes such as progress notes, consultation notes and discharge summaries.
• Assist physicians by reviewing medical records and organising clinical information.
• Record medications, allergies, lab results, imaging findings and procedures as directed by the physician.
• Keep documentation accurate, complete and on time, while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and other staff when clarification is needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, Nursing or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and basic clinical concepts.
• Excellent English communication, listening and typing skills.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems; previous experience as a scribe, medical assistant or healthcare professional is an advantage.
