Medium Caliber Ammunition Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced manager to lead the full development lifecycle of medium‑caliber ammunition systems, from concept through qualification to industrialisation. The role combines technical leadership with strategic planning in an office‑based environment with regular visits to labs and test facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the development strategy for medium‑caliber ammunition.
• Lead design, testing, and qualification activities.
• Manage R&D priorities, resources and departmental budget.
• Oversee modelling, simulation and performance optimisation.
• Define production lines and drive industrialisation.
• Approve technical baselines and configuration changes.
• Manage test campaigns and qualification programmes.
• Provide technical presentations and support business development.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 11–15 years of experience in medium‑caliber ammunition design with leadership exposure.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and project‑management capabilities.

• Expert‑level knowledge of ammunition design.
• Advanced CAD proficiency.
• Simulation and modelling expertise.
