MEP Draughtsman

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a full-time MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Draughtsman in Dubai. The draughtsman prepares detailed technical drawings, layouts and schematics for MEP systems using CAD software, working with engineers, architects and project teams to deliver accurate designs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting) according to project requirements.
• Develop layout drawings, schematics and sectional views using AutoCAD, Revit or other CAD software.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, project specifications and local regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and site teams for design modifications and approvals, and work with structural and architectural teams to avoid clashes.
• Update and revise drawings in response to design changes or client requirements.
• Maintain an organised library of drawings, specifications and revisions, meeting company and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Familiarity with local building codes and MEP standards.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and other drafting software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
