About the role
The MEP Design Engineer – Electrical will be responsible for designing lighting, small power and ELV systems for residential, commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to develop design plans, specifications and schematics for electrical systems.
- Perform calculations to size cables, lighting fixtures and ELV devices and produce detailed drawings, riser diagrams and schedules.
- Integrate electrical designs with other building services and incorporate energy‑efficient technologies.
- Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and conduct quality checks on design deliverables.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer on MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MEP design software/tools.
- Understanding of Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV system components.
- Familiarity with construction practices and terminology.
