Mid‑Senior Petrochemical Professionals

About the role

Hire Resolve is supporting petrochemical organisations in the UAE to recruit experienced professionals for refinery, chemical and downstream manufacturing operations. The roles span plant operations, engineering, reliability, HSE, quality, supply chain and commercial services, targeting mid‑ to senior‑level candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient plant operations across continuous and batch processes, utilities and supporting units.
• Drive process optimisation, debottlenecking, yield improvement, energy efficiency and cost‑reduction programmes.
• Support or lead capital projects from scope definition through execution, commissioning and handover.
• Maintain technical documentation (P&IDs, procedures, operating envelopes) and manage change (MOC).
• Improve asset reliability through preventive/predictive maintenance, RCA, turnaround planning and integrity programmes.
• Ensure compliance with site HSE standards, process safety controls and contractor safety requirements.
• Lead and participate in risk assessments (HAZOP/LOPA), incident investigations and corrective‑action closure.
• Manage contractors and safe systems of work (Permit‑to‑Work, isolations/LOTO, method statements and risk assessments).
• Track and improve KPIs across safety, production, quality, reliability and budget performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Laboratory, Supply Chain and external vendors to deliver targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline.
• 7–15+ years of experience in petrochemicals, refining, specialty chemicals, polymers or industrial gases.
• Experience in one or more functional tracks such as operations leadership, process engineering, reliability/maintenance, HSE/process safety, projects, quality or commercial support.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety and process safety expectations in high‑hazard environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills across multicultural teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in an industrial environment; some roles may require shift coverage, on‑call rotation or travel.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
• Experience with process historians (e.g., PI System).
• Knowledge of engineering documentation standards and P&IDs.
• Competence in Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
• Ability to conduct HAZOP/LOPA risk assessments.
• Understanding of Permit‑to‑Work, isolations/LOTO and contractor management.
