Electrical Design Engineer (HVAC)

About the role

Dolphin Radiators & Cooling Systems, part of Dolphin Global Holdings, is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with HVAC experience to join its team in Ajman, UAE. The engineer designs and develops electrical control systems for chiller units and pump skids, ensuring compliance with project requirements and delivering reliable, efficient control solutions. Working hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, or 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems for chiller units and pump skids based on project specifications.
• Develop electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, control philosophies and control panel layouts.
• Select sensors, actuators, controllers and other electrical components.
• Program and configure PLCs according to the designed control systems.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), raise purchase requests and coordinate with the relevant departments.
• Guide the electrical team in field wiring for chillers and pump skids.
• Conduct functional testing, support startup, commissioning, FAT and SAT, and troubleshoot technical issues and site complaints.
• Maintain technical drawings, design documents, specifications, manuals and datasheets, and keep design change logs and software version records.
• Take part in technical reviews and client meetings, and provide technical support to the Sales and Application Engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and HVAC systems.
• Practical knowledge of chiller units, pump skids and electrical control systems.
• Experience in testing, troubleshooting, startup and commissioning, and familiarity with FAT and SAT procedures.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of PLC programming and configuration.
• Ability to develop electrical schematics, control circuit diagrams and panel layouts.
• Knowledge of electrical components, sensors, actuators and controllers.
• Technical documentation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
