Naval Architect

About the role

The Naval Architect will ensure that marine vessels maintain valid class and statutory certificates, complying with IACS standards, IMO regulations and local legislation. The role supports dry‑docking, repair, and modification projects across Archirodon’s global EPC portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and verify class certificates and statutory approvals for IACS‑registered vessels.
• Plan and supervise dry‑docking, bottom surveys and special class surveys.
• Prepare scope of work, cost estimates and comparative statements for shipyard repairs.
• Conduct onboard inspections, stability studies and equipment transfer inspections.
• Manage inventory of navigational, lifesaving and fire‑fighting appliances and ensure compliance with safety codes.
• Liaise with class societies, update electronic drawings and support vessel conversion/modification for project needs.

Required profile

• University degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Naval Architect, familiar with design and operations of shipyards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ship design software and engineering tools such as AutoCAD.
