Network Engineer

About the role

InterSystems is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Hosting Services team, responsible for the delivery, administration and security compliance of the network infrastructure that supports its international hosted services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert‑level support for data‑center network infrastructure, monitoring service levels and resolving issues.
• Design, build and deploy network solutions in collaboration with architects, project managers and stakeholders.
• Develop, test and maintain disaster‑recovery and fail‑over plans.
• Monitor 24x7 network availability, capacity and performance, and produce regular reports.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, document configurations and maintain network diagrams.

Required profile

• Minimum CCNP certification (routing & switching or security).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco and F5 equipment in a data‑center environment.
• Proven ability to follow ITIL processes in a 24x7 operations setting with strict SLA and security requirements.

Required skills

• Cisco Nexus switches (7000/9000 series), NX‑OS, VDC, VPC, HSRP, STP, port‑channels.
• Cisco ASR 100x series, IOS XE, OSPF, BGP, VRF.
• Cisco ASA firewalls, IPS, ASAv, Multi‑context, IPSEC VPN, AnyConnect SSL VPN, NAT, ACLs.
• F5 LTM, GTM/DNS Management, route domains, partitions, pools, nodes, iRules, GLB.
• Network design, firewall rule creation, dynamic routing, load balancing, intrusion detection/prevention, remote access and site‑to‑site VPNs.
